Modeling portfolios, lights camera action is an informative blog post for parents. I am writing this article to give parents a little insight about how to get a child into modeling. My information will be updated as often as possible. All of the information I am sharing comes from my experiences with my clients. It also comes from the experience of customers here at my Raleigh studio. The purpose for creating this post is to tell parents what we did to get other children recognized in the child modeling industry. Additionally, the blog post saves me time in explaining how this is working to so many interested parents. This is your guide moms and dads, I hope it is helpful. Now let’s book some modeling portfolio sessions, lights, camera, action!
Today’s social media makes it easier than ever to get a child into modeling. Are you are interested in building a modeling portfolio for your little boy or girl? If so I would be happy to help you do that. My images are dynamic and modeling magazines seem to really respond to them. This means that there is a good chance that they will get published. Getting published bring attention to your child and that can get them noticed by people in the industry. Not to mention it’s exciting to them to be in a magazine. To begin with, this post will tell you what some of my clients are doing to get their children recognized in child modeling magazines. For instance, you can read Izzi’s story HERE . Each of you will be able to see in more detail what Izzi’s mom and I did to get the ball rolling for Izzi. As a result, she is having fun, making new friends and traveling. These are things that appeal to a six year old. In addition to reading about Izzi’s success you will read about others who also booked with my studio and how those children are being recognized. They booked a session, a modeling portfolios lights camera action session.
It is important that I point out that I am not a talent agent and do not want anyone to think that I am. That would be false advertising. Having a great experience is something I want to provide for each customers. Hence, part of a great experience is knowing the details in advance so that your expectations are met. To begin, I am a photographer. My job is to help you get dynamic images of your children. I will do my very best to do that; I am invested. Again, it would again be presumptuous of me to say that every session will result in publications. In retrospect, most have; but I am working with little children. In a word, children can tell that I enjoy being around them and I believe this makes a difference in their comfort level. Consequently, the comfort level effects the way they respond to the photographer. Of course, some children warm up to the camera faster than others. However, for you as well as for my studio I am devoted to getting the best images possible of your child. Why? Because being published is good for my studio. Additionally, if you have a good experience I may see you again in the future. Sometimes, when my schedule allows, I will post images of the children in magazine competitions. However, it is the parents responsibility to market their own child. This blog post was written to help you all navigate and find the easiest way market your child. Again, Social media has made getting children into modeling much easier than it was in the past.
Truly, a few of the children that have been published did not even come in for a modeling session. After a normal portrait session, I asked if I could post an image of their child. Subsequently, the photos won a feature or spread in a magazine. As you can imagine, these parents are thrilled. Also, the children are thrilled because what child doesn’t think it’s cool to be in a magazine. They love to see their pictures in the magazines sitting on their coffee tables. Coupled with the fact that I enjoy getting the publicity for my studio; it’s a win win situation.
Earlier, five girls all got published in one magazine. They are Izzi, Paige, Chloe, Anna and Gracie (Patricia Grace) as the cover. In the first place, this is exciting for all of us. The image will be printed in Issue 6 Volume 3 2019. The magazine is Young Model Magazine. I sent it lots of steampunk images. We can’t wait to see what they chose to print of each of the girls. Also, I am thrilled to have received the honor of the cover. Gracie is thrilled too. Teens love steampunk and who would not love having their image on a magazine cover?
