Raleigh children’s portrait photographer

I am a Raleigh children’s portrait photographer.  What does that mean you might ask?  A portrait photographer is a photographer that specializes in portraits of people. We are different than event photographers. As you might imagine an even photographer shoots events. Events might be weddings, birthday parties or even sporting events. I do not photograph events.  Each photographer probably has something that they love to photograph the most. In my case it has always been children.  Here are some reasons why I specialize in children.

I have worked with children all of my life. It’s easy for them to bond with me. Having so many years of experience working with children and understanding their nature is a plus for my studio.  Children make me smile. Many people have asked me if I ever get tired of being with children. For the most part, the answer is “no”.  Naturally then, as a photographer by trade I would want to be a children’s portrait photographer.  You can check out my children’s gallery here.  However as you look around you will realize that most of portraits are of children.  Some are newborns and others are babies. Still others are high school seniors.  I offer a wide variety of children’s portrait work.

My studio opened in 2004 and was based in Holly Springs. At that time I only photographed children.  Occasionally I would photograph a maternity session because it led to the newborn photo shoot.  I have always specialized in newborn portrait work.  As those children grew they continued to come in for milestone portraits. In some cases I have formed life long relationships with these families.  Being a Raleigh children’s portrait photographer most definitely has it’s perks.

Nothing in the world is more important to me than my children. I know this must be the case for everyone.  Being able to capture moments in time for parents is my goal. I want for each of my clients to experience what I have in the portraits of my children.  As you might imagine, my home is decorated with their portraits.  There are so many albums in my china cabinet and I love every one of them.  So many times I will pull out those albums and reminisce about when they were babies.  Now they are adults and I sure am glad I have my photos.
